Mandalas for Inner Peace
“Acceptance looks like a passive state, but in reality it brings
something entirely new into this world.“
—Eckhart Tolle
Did you know that mandalas can be used to help you stay centered during these challenging times?
A mandala is a circular symbolic design used in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. The name comes from Sanskrit and means ‘sacred circle’. It’s believed they represent the relationship between us and the universe, and are often used to assist in meditation and prayer.
Mandala designs have frequently graced our covers. Their ability to help one feel more centered is in alignment with much of our planner’s intention—to remind you to connect with your true self, to what’s most meaningful, and ultimately—to assist you in designing a life that reflects just that. Mandalas seemed like a perfect fit.
Consider the benefits mandala’s offer:
- Help you feel more balanced and centered
- Enjoy a sense of calm and inner peace
- Help you better concentrate
- Ease anxiety that allows you to be more present
If you’re feeling anxious during this challenging time, posting mandalas in your home where you can look at them often can help.

It’s also a good time to remind yourself that though you can’t always control what happens to you, you can control how you think about it. Acceptance is key. Though it may not feel like it now, this too shall pass. And, stories like this—from a survivor of the 1918 flu pandemic— can really help keep things in perspective.
As you navigate these uncertain times, simply do your best and send yourself lots of love and kindness.
Stay well friends.
We’re all in this together.
